A depiction of what I experience on a daily basis as someone who is deaf. Wearing a mask out in public has made communicating with others a bit of a challenge. My goal with this piece is to showcase to hearing people the frustrations of not being able to fully understand what one is saying. I also wish people would be more aware of how to interact with D/deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people. Patience is key!!!
Regardless of the mask requirement and my frustrations, it is vital that we all do our part to help curb the spread of COVID-19 and wear a mask and social distancing.
