Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Canon Camera

Based on a photo I took in Downtown Wilmington, NC of a sculpture by Paul Hill – “Straining to be”. I took the image I photographed and imported it into Photoshop, then started to mess around with the tools. After removing the background of the image using the select object tool, I used several different stamps to create the scratch-like effect. Changing the size of the stamp tool and the opacity allowed for more variation and more realistic scratches. In the process of using the select object tool, numerous gaps/holes were created. To fill these holes I added a subtle red, orange, yellow gradient.
