This project was a team effort.
Inspiration for this project came from a list of compound words we found related to fire, which is why we decided on the term: fireboat. Our goal was to construct a unified piece where a ship once meant for the transportation of prisoners would be set on fire; the reason the ship was set on fire remains unknown. The memory of this tragic event still lives on. The ship is said to only be visible off the coast on nights when the moon cannot be seen lurking near the shoreline. One student designed the boat, another modeled the fire and I created the water and the sky.
As we got going on the project our initial plan of a grey stormy sky changed to a lightning sky because we wanted to add another elemental force to go along with the water and fire.
