Project: Home-cooked Food Market
HCIN 620: Information and Interaction Design / Spring 2023
This project was a team project for a graduate level Human Computer Interaction Course in Information and Interaction Design. The objective of the study was to observe users as they interacted with a technological device to search and place an order on any food service platform.
Tools used: Figma, Miro, Slack, Zoom,
Problem statement:
Due to convenience, Rochester Institute of Technology students often purchase meals from on-campus dining locations. However, we discovered that on-campus dining halls only offer a limited variety of food. As a result, students may become tired of the food offerings and choose to order food delivery from restaurants within the surrounding Rochester area, which is not ideal for long-term considerations since ordering food delivery is relatively expensive.
As a team we created a separate website to showcase the different phases of the project. There were a total of 5 phases which were referred to Milestones. Each team member was responsible for a set of tasks which helped us meet the goals of the project and the course. The project can be viewed in further detail on the Wix site we created.
